This training will include a comprehensive understanding of yoga, its history, preparation and training in older adult specific yoga practice. It will cover objectives, training protocols, and intensive learning and practice of movements including asanas (stretching and flexibility exercises), Pranayama (the breathing exercises), and Meditation. Trainees will attend classes with senior instructor and will learn how to teach classes working directly with older adults. Trainee will receive in-class, personal and active participation instruction. Trainees are expected to assimilate all knowledge and skills learned and must be able to independently teach classes prior to completion.
